My style and holistic approach to counseling centers around creating a supportive and nurturing environment while providing nutrition education and the tools needed to be an informed, intuitive eater, resulting in having the confidence and ability to make informed, sustainable, and meaningful lifestyle changes.
Taking a mindful and holistic approach to healthy eating and nutrition can allow you to achieve your optimal health. I believe in the profound impact that food has on our microbiome and that you can heal your gut, decrease inflammation and change the path of chronic disease and thus transform your life by consuming healthy, whole Foods, from predominately plant sources.
Rachel is a calming and caring dietitian who took her time and provided me with diabetes education that i could understand. We had several sessions over a one year period. I now feel that I have the knowledge I need to keep my diabetes in check thanks to Rachel. I feel that because of her, my A1C went from a 10.4 to 6.1 after my first 3 months bloodwork check! It has remained between 6.3 and 6.1. I could not have done this without Rachel. I highly recommend anyone with diabetes to make an appointment. It is a very important step to take toward managing your diabetes.
I’ve been seeing Rachel for almost 2 years and in that time I’ve lost 25% of my body weight! Rachel had initially told me that she does not focus on weight but rather clean, plant based eating. She stuck to this and has guided me on a journey to a healthier new way of eating, a new lifestyle. As a result, I lost over 50 lbs! She even helped me figure out how I was going to manage this lifestyle while traveling.
